OKPANAM/Nigeria: The need for parents to give equal love and opportunities to their children irrespective of their gender affiliations to enable them realise their potentials in life in order for them to contribute to societal building has been strongly emphasised.
A frontline community youth in Obodogba quarters, Okpanam , Oshimili North Local Government Area, Comrade Onyeayana Onwuka, who stated this in the community during the birthday ceremony of his son, master Emmanuel Chukwuyem Eloke, decried unnecessary discriminatng attitudes of some parents towards their children.
Comrade Onyeayana Onwuka described children as the best blessings from God and should be given access to proper moeal upbringing, adding that he was happy to celebrate the maiden birthday of Master Emmanuel Chukwuyem Eloke.
While pledging to strive towards bringing up the child with the fear of God and in the expectations of humanity, Comrade Onyeayana Onwuka, however, appreciated God for the numerous blessings upon his family.
He urged parents not to abandon their parental responsibilities especially during hard times but to always create platform for their children to access quality education just as he described education as the best legacy every right thinking parent must bequeath to their children.
Comrade Onwuka, who commended his Kingsmen and friends for making out time to identify with his family, stated that he would continue to contribute meaningfully towards the peaceful coexistence in the community.
