ASABA/Nigeria: The South-South Stakeholders Engagement Forum is set to convene on December 10, 2025, at BON Hotel Transtell Residence, Asaba, where policymakers, industry leaders, academics, and development strategists will gather to chart a new course for sustainable growth in Nigeria’s oil-rich but economically strained South-South region.

Despite hosting the nation’s petroleum wealth, the region continues to battle environmental degradation, poor infrastructure, and limited economic diversification. The forum, organised by Vijon International Media Ltd, aims to provide a strategic platform for designing practical, inclusive, and innovation-driven policy approaches capable of repositioning the South-South as a resilient economic hub.

According to the organisers, participants will engage in high-level deliberations on strengthening transparent and accountable resource management, boosting regional trade and investment, advancing education and vocational reforms, and unlocking new pathways for industrialisation and technology adoption. The discussions are expected to produce actionable recommendations that will drive job creation, improve livelihoods, and deepen long-term socio-economic stability across the region.

A line-up of prominent speakers has been confirmed for the forum, including Hon. (High Chief) Obi Kelvin Ezenyili, Executive Chairman of Oshimili South LGA; Hon. (Barr.) Bridget Anyafulu, Member of the Delta State House of Assembly; Olorogun Vincent Oyibode, Executive Chairman of Udu LGA; Engr. Prof. Christopher Ezeagwu, Dean of the Faculty of Computing at Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba; and Mr. Charles Omordia, CEO of School Ville.

The Keynote Address will be delivered by Prof. Christopher Bankole Ndubusi Ogbogbo, Vice Chancellor of the Admiralty University of Nigeria. The event will be chaired by Chief Bernard Edewor, while Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will serve as Special Guest of Honour.

Ben Anthony Edejor, CEO of Vijon International Media Ltd, said the forum is designed to support the development of forward-looking policies that strengthen the region’s economic foundations and ensure its competitiveness in a rapidly changing national and global landscape.
