STEP/YAGEP BUSINESS FAIR: Youth Empowerment, Boost for the Economy – Gov. Okowa

ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has said that empowering the youths would create jobs and boost the economy of the country.

Speaking today, December 12, 2017 in Asaba when he inspected the venue for the two days STEP and YAGEP Exhibition and Business Fair, Governor Okowa said that his administration had trained and empowered no fewer than 2,324 Deltans through its Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Programme, STEP, and Youth Agricultural Entrepreneurs Programme, YAGEP, in the last two years.

He emphasised that the Exhibition and Business Fair would provide STEPreneurs and YAGEPreneurs who were trained by the state government an opportunity to make vital business contacts; create business relationships with investors and communicate their business vision to banks and business support institutions from within and outside Delta State.

The governor expressed confident that the state was ready for a successful hosting of the event and assured all the event would offer the youths a platform and ladder for growth and sustenance.
