Successful and Peaceful Conduct of 2023 Entrance Examination into 17 Model Secondary Schools in Delta …As 5,000 Candidates Participate

ASABA/Nigeria: In a remarkable display of commitment to education, the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education successfully conducted the 2023 entrance examination into 17 model secondary schools across Delta State. With 5,000 candidates taking part in the examination, aspiring students seeking admission into JS 1, JS 2, SS 1, and SS 2 classes eagerly wrote the test at designated centers throughout the state.

The examination process was closely monitored by key officials of the ministry to ensure its smooth execution. Mr. Augustine Oghoro, the Permanent Secretary (PS) in the ministry, personally oversaw the conduct of the examination in Asaba and other parts of the Delta North Senatorial District. Meanwhile, Mr. Sunday Egomagwuna, the Director of Examination and Standard, along with other ministry officials, supervised the process in various locations across the state.

Shortly after monitoring the examination, Mr. Oghoro expressed satisfaction with the overall conduct of the candidates and described the entire exercise as peaceful and devoid of any hitches. He commended the students for their exemplary behaviour during the examination and also praised the ministry’s officials for their high sense of commitment and dedication to duty.

Candidates who meet the minimum admission requirements will have the opportunity to secure admission into any of the esteemed model secondary schools of their choice. The 2023/2024 academic session is scheduled to commence in September.

Mr. Oghoro emphasized that serious candidates should have no trouble passing the examination and reaffirmed the state government’s unwavering commitment to further elevate the education sector to new heights.

Mr. Sunday Egomagwuna, the Director of Examination and Standard, assured that the examination materials were more than sufficient in all the centres. He emphasized the department’s dedication to enhancing the conduct of future examinations and promised timely release of the results.

As the candidates await their results, the Delta State government’s dedication to providing quality education remains steadfast, promising a brighter future for the state’s young minds.
