ABUJA/Nigeria: In a jubilant atmosphere outside the Supreme Court premises in Abuja, Hon (Chief) Peter Uviejitobor, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State on Government Affairs, has expressed heartfelt congratulations to Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme following their triumph at the Supreme Court.
As a two-term former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Uviejitobor stressed the significance of the Supreme Court’s decision, emphasizing its potential impact on the foundation of the present administration’s MORE agenda in the state.
Acknowledging the unique grace of God upon Governor Oborevwori, Uviejitobor addressed reporters immediately after the judgement, describing the Justices of the Apex Court’s ruling as a victory for accelerated growth in Delta State.
“This Supreme Court Judgment has reaffirmed the overwhelming votes Deltans gave to the PDP Candidate, His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori during the governorship election,” said Uviejitobor. “The legal fireworks, I can say, were unnecessary as the Governor won in 21 out of the 25 local government areas.”
While extending congratulations to the Governor, Deputy Governor, the PDP family, and the people of Delta State, Uviejitobor expressed happiness that the legal battle concluded positively. He commended Governor Oborevwori for his victory and the confidence reposed in him by Deltans.
“Now that the storm is over, the Governor will focus on governance to deliver his promises to Deltans,” noted the former lawmaker, who represented Udu Constituency. Uviejitobor highlighted Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to infrastructure development, citing the involvement of construction giant Julius Berger in bridge and road projects as a testament to the Governor’s determination to leave a lasting legacy in the state.
Urging critical stakeholders to collaborate with the Governor, Uviejitobor emphasized the importance of ongoing support for the success of the administration’s initiatives. The Special Adviser called for unity and collective efforts in ensuring Delta State’s continued progress under Governor Oborevwori’s leadership.
