OZORO/Nigeria: In a powerful display of commitment to regional stability and youth development, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has unveiled the newly completed Isoko Youth House (Fred Obe Secretariat) in Ozoro, Delta State, reaffirming its broader mission to drive peace, opportunity, and empowerment across the Niger Delta.

The commissioning ceremony, held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, marked more than the opening of a building, it was a symbolic consolidation of the company’s expanding role in community development beyond its federal mandate of securing oil infrastructure. Representing Tantita’s Chairman, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, the company’s Managing Director, High Chief Keston Pondi, declared that Tantita’s vision now fully embraces the empowerment of youths and support for local aspirations.

“This youth house is not just a structure, it’s a fulfilled promise and a platform to organize, empower, and give voice to the future of the Isoko nation,” Pondi said during the unveiling along the Ozoro/Kwale Road, directly opposite Southern Delta University. He reiterated that Tantita’s work is no longer limited to pipeline surveillance, but now includes a social investment in unity and long-term peace across oil-producing communities.

Commissioned in the presence of community leaders, government officials, and traditional rulers, the project received glowing endorsement from Delta State’s Commissioner for Youths, Hon. ThankGod Harry Frakriowei, who represented Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. Frakriowei described the edifice as “a symbol of hope, opportunity, and progress,” noting that its ICT-equipped facilities will serve as a training ground for youths and a launchpad for digital innovation, aligning squarely with the administration’s MORE agenda on youth development.

For the Isoko National Youths Assembly Worldwide, the moment was historic. President Comrade Eniwake Orogun called the youth house a “lasting legacy of our collective struggle,” naming the building after Chief Fred Obe, a foundational figure in the Niger Delta’s agitation for equity and justice. Orogun praised the foresight and courage of leaders like Obe, Tompolo, and Asari Dokubo, who risked much in the late 1990s to push for a better deal for their people.

In a moving reflection, Chief Fred Obe recounted the journey that began as far back as 1997/1998, when grassroots mobilization for resource control and fair treatment took root. “We stood together for justice, and today, this youth house reminds us that our sacrifices were not in vain,” he said. He offered heartfelt thanks to Chief Pondi and the Tantita team for the critical support that saw the project to completion.

Comrade Orogun also acknowledged Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko for his contributions, and gave special credit to Chief Pondi for his “elephant-size” financial donation that made the final execution of the project possible.

Valued at over ₦200 million, the facility is fully equipped to serve as a hub for leadership grooming, digital training, and youth empowerment initiatives. Guests and youth leaders present at the event were urged to protect and maintain the centre as a shared legacy that belongs to the next generation.

As Tantita continues to redefine the boundaries of corporate social responsibility in the Niger Delta, the Isoko Youth House stands as a monument not only to promises kept but to the untapped potential of a region yearning for transformation, one empowered youth at a time.
