ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Sports Commission has directed athletes and officials of Team Delta to undergo COVID-19 vaccination, ahead of the forthcoming Edo 2021 National Sports Festival.
The Director General of Delta State Sports Commission Mr. Chris Anazia, made this known in Asaba, while addressing participants at the COVID-19 Vaccination Point at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in the state capital.
Mr. Anazia remarked that the ongoing vaccination campaign was in line with the federal government CIVID-19 protocol, saying it was essential for athletes and coaches representing Delta state at the games to key into the safety guidelines.
Some of the participating athletes reacted to the vaccination campaign after taking their first jab of the injection.
