UGHELLI/Nigeria: The State Coordinator of Team Ibori for Okowa 2019, Hon, Edmond Guanah, has told members of the newly inaugurated Executive Council of the Ughelli North chapter of the body that the re-election of Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, in 2019 is a task that must be accomplished.
Speaking during the ceremony held in Ughelli on Friday, he tasked the new EXCO members to go to their various wards and units to start sensitising the people on why the Governor must return to the state Government House in 2019.
Hon. Guanah noted that Dr. Okowa has done marvellously well in the State in the area of education, road construction, youth empowerment, peace and security and others so deserves a second term in office.
A member of the Board of the state School of Health Technology, Ofuoma, Ughelli, Chief Dr. Chris Oharisi, and the Vice Chairman, Ughelli North Local Government Council, Hon. Victor Uyoh, advised the newly inaugurated EXCO members to work in unity and make sure that the Governor’s victory in 2019 is certain.
Other speakers at the ceremony include Mrs. Vera Ugbobor, Tom Idogun, Chief Mrs. Jegede- Ikpen, and the representative of People’s Progressive Parliament (PPP), Mr Sam Nakudivwo.
The State Secretary of the group, Comrade Mathew Oji, conducted the inauguration ceremony.
