The Indigenous Oil Companies are Exploiters-Chief Christopher Nwajiogoli

NwajioThe Chairman of the Host Communities Association, Ukwuani Local Area of Delta State, Chief Christopher Nwajiogoli in an interview on activities of HOS TCOM have described the activities of the indigenous Oil and Gas companies operating in the area as nothing but exploitation. The Chairman who spoke exclusively to Ndokwa Reporters accused the companies of doing nothing to the economic and human capital development of the areas they operate when compared with the foreign oil companies who before the indigenous companies did more to empower the people.

Speaking further, the retired NNPC staff, says the activities of the companies will soon be checked when HOS TCOM will mobilise the people to demand for their rights. He decried the lack of employment of the people from the host communities to further improve on the economic development of the host communities. He called the continuous insinuation that the people from the communities have no qualified hands to work in the companies as false and embarrassing.

Chief Nwajiogoli, also talked on the activities of Delta State oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), under the leadership of Hon Kenny Okolugbo in Ndokwa Nation as a wonderful one and asked that the commissioner should continue in his dream of using the little resources giving to Ndokwa Nation to do more for the communities.

 The HOST COM Chairman also called for the change of the present statistics used to gauge the crude oil production from the Ndokwa Nation, and call it a false record, and a record that was used before 1980, saying presently more oil wells is now operational in the area and the record need to be set straight. He concluded that a compilation of the new statistics will be made known when it is completed.
