Umutu: A political group known as the Reality Group in Ukwuani LGA in Delta state, has vowed to work towards the success of the present government in the state under the watch of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
The decision by the group was announced during a meeting hosted by the Executive Director, Social Services Development, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Hon Ochor Chris Ochor, on 27 of December, 2016 in Umutu.
The group agreed that the paramount issue on ground is to work always for the success of the state government, because the project of the group had been and still to engage the citizens of Ukwuani to develop their political force, saying that, “as election come and go, the political commonwealth remains a support for the governor, which must remain undiluted.”
While welcoming members, Hon Ochor thanked them for their unalloyed support to the government of Governor Okowa, and asked them not to relent, but continue to preach the good intention of the government to develop the state, in line with his “Prosperity Agenda to All Deltans”, as the success of the governor should be the groups concern.
He reminded the group that Senator Okowa came into office as a gravitational force of history, and remains a great force in the politics of the state.
Ochor however called for an effective and functional structure to achieve the overall goal of the group, saying that their intentions will not be achieved without structure, which will reflect the seriousness of the group. Stressing that, offices must be created for a functional administration to be achieved.
Also speaking, Mr Power Anuku, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development, joined Hon Ochor to task the group on the need to become more functional in the LGA, and for the continued support to the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
In line with the decision to have functional structure, offices were created based on Directorates, and the head of the Directorates were named, with a Chairman (Chief Chris Nwajiogori), Director General (Hon Power Anuku), Secretary (Mr. Festus Ikogwe), Assistant Secretary (Mr. Ngboyiobi), and an Organising Secretary (Hon Humphrey Uzuakpondu).
Other Directorates created are Publicity/Media, headed by Mr. Solomon Ebinum, Planning and Research, (Chief Alfred Onyenwosa), Directors of Non-Indigenes, (Dr. Ismaliah Okudaiye), Directorate of Party Affairs (Hon.
