PATANI/Nigeria: The Deputy Chairman of the PDP State campaign council and initiator of the Operation Return Okowa, Prince Ned Nwoko has said that it is not negotiable whether Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa will be reelected as Governor of Delta State or not, adding that he (Okowa) had met all the requirements necessary to earn him a second term in office.
He made this disclosure while speaking to a group of newsmen at the PDP Patani rally on Wednesday 23rd January, 2019.
Ned Nwoko who was accosted by the press while being commended by the Chairman of the PDP campaign council, Prof. Sam Oyovwaire for his selfless support to Okowa and also making time available for campaigns, said, “we as Deltans have got no choice but to vote Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as Governor for a second term.
I don’t like injustice, we are all Deltans. What is good for the goose is also good for the gander. If I can fight for others, I assure you I can even fight more for my brother.
Apart from being Anioma who is entitled to second term like our brothers from the Central and South had done; you and I know that Okowa has performed immensely to merit a second term.
I repeat, we have not seen the type of transformation we are today witnessing in Delta at all sectoral levels.
Why won’t I support his campaign with the best of my capacity? Why won’t I create time when I know my presence can sway most of the electorates to support him? Why won’t I be a true Deltan by ensuring that Peace and Justice are sustained, while the equitable power sharing arrangement remains?, Nwoko asked.
Earlier, the Director General of the campaign council, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon was spotted reporting activities so far to Ned Nwoko, who arrived Patani rally ground earlier than most of the dignitaries.
As someone who had built support base across the State, the name Ned Nwoko rented the air as soon as he was sighted dancing out with the Governor when it was time for the Governor to speak.
Prince Ned Nwoko, the Idumuje-Ugboko born royalty is the founder of ‘Operation Return Okowa’, one of the biggest support groups strategically positioned to deliver Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for a second term in office.
