This is the Time to Change from Our Odd Ways, Izzi Ann, DTHA Aspirant Tells Ndokwa East Delegates

KWALE/Nigeria: One of the aspirants, and the only female among the six for the Ndokwa East Constituency Seat, Delta State House of Assembly, Miss Izzi Ann, (JP), had admonished the delegates that will be involved in the selection of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to be ready to vote for the right person that will represent the area in the 7th Assembly.

Speaking in Kwale on Saturday, 29 September 2018, the House of Assembly hopeful,  said she has all the qualification to represent the area to bring development that had been long lacking.

Miss Izzi, who stated that good government have to come from those who represent the people, said that this can only be possible when the area sends one amongst its first eleven, which lies in the hands of the delegates.

“We have to change our ways of selecting the candidates that will represent our great party, the PDP at the General Elections. After the Primary, we will appeal to the Ndokwa Easterners to do the right thing.” She said.

Miss Izzi, who is once the secretary to former national Chairman, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Bamaga Tukur, said she had over the years been involved in grassroot politics, as she also aspired to represent the people of the area in 2015.

“My experience as secretary to the former chairman of our great party, the PDP, National Chairman, Alhaji Bamaga Turkur, and as a consultant in the maritime industry, I have the needed experience to represent the Ndokwa East people. I am using this medium to tell the selected delegates to select the right person to carry the flag of the party.”

According to her, if she is given the ticket of the party, and eventually gets to the state assembly, one of her duty will be to advocate for a commission that will handle the annual flood issues, that every year render family’s homeless and millions of economic produce lost to the natural disaster of flooding.

“One of my assignment if elected, will be to present a bill at the floor of the house, that will always prepare the people for such natural occurrences, it’s not a manmade issue, and the only solution is to always prepare the people for the expected occurrences, and also take care of them at the end of the flooding, by providing the necessary humanitarian assistance to the affected.

“Presently the government is doing their best to ensure the people are well taking care of, we thank the state government, led by His Excellency, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, but will have to relieve the state of the burden. A commission need to be created. And that will be one of my bills, amongst others if elected.” She intoned.

Miss Izzi bemoaned the attitude of elected and appointed persons from the area, for not taking advantage of their positions to see to the development of the people and the attracting of infrastructures that will uplift the lives of the people.
