ASABA/Nigeria: Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has congratulated Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori on his third anniversary in office, describing him as a visionary and dynamic leader whose administration has continued to deliver impactful development and responsive governance across Delta State.
Guwor, in two separate goodwill messages to mark the milestone, commended the governor for what he described as remarkable achievements recorded under the MORE Agenda within three years, saying Oborevwori has demonstrated exceptional leadership, resilience and commitment to the growth and advancement of the state.
Speaking on behalf of himself, his family, constituents of Warri South-West Constituency and associates, the Speaker lauded the governor for accelerating development and ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach the people.
The congratulatory message, made available to journalists by the Speaker’s Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, noted that Governor Oborevwori had continued to justify the confidence reposed in him through people-oriented policies and landmark projects.
“Your Excellency, I commend your visionary leadership and the remarkable strides recorded under the MORE Agenda of your administration in three years. You have ensured responsive governance and accelerated development across Delta State,” Guwor stated.
The Speaker, who is also Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, reaffirmed the commitment of the legislature to sustaining its partnership with the governor in delivering greater benefits to Deltans.
He prayed for God’s continued wisdom, strength and sound health for Governor Oborevwori as he continues to steer the affairs of the state.
“As you mark this milestone, I reaffirm our commitment to partnering with you to deliver more dividends of democracy to Deltans,” he added.
In a separate message issued on behalf of members of the Delta State House of Assembly, Guwor described the governor as a worthy ambassador and trailblazer whose achievements have continued to make the legislature proud, particularly as the immediate past Speaker of the House.
“We are very proud of you. You are our worthy and great ambassador as the immediate past Presiding Officer of the Delta State House of Assembly,” the lawmakers stated.
The Assembly applauded Governor Oborevwori’s dedication to building lasting legacies through strategic infrastructure projects and people-centred programmes that have positively impacted communities across the state.
According to the Speaker, the governor’s inclusive leadership style, respect for democratic principles and harmonious relationship with the legislature have strengthened peace, stability and development in Delta State.
He assured the governor of the Assembly’s continued support for policies and legislative initiatives aimed at advancing the socio-economic development of the state.
Guwor further declared that lawmakers and their constituents across the 29 state constituencies were fully committed to supporting Governor Oborevwori’s second-term aspiration, describing it as a fitting recognition of his outstanding leadership and dedication to the progress of Delta State.
“We, together with all our constituents in the 29 state constituencies, are solidly committed to your second term in office. That is one sure way to appreciate your good leadership and commitment to state development,” the Speaker stated.
He congratulated the governor on the landmark achievements recorded within three years in office and expressed confidence that greater accomplishments lie ahead under the MORE Agenda.
