WARRI/Nigeria: The Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) and revered Ijaw leader, High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a principled and patriotic leader whose impact on Nigeria will not be forgotten.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Tompolo praised Buhari’s leadership qualities during his presidency from 2015 to 2023, noting that the late president demonstrated contentment, integrity, and a rare sense of duty in national service.
“Buhari was not a materialistic person and was content with what God blessed him with. He sought individuals of character, goodwill, and vigour to serve the country while he was President,” Tompolo stated.
Highlighting one of Buhari’s key decisions during his administration, Tompolo recalled the former president’s approval of Tantita Security Services to provide surveillance for Nigeria’s critical oil and gas assets at a time when the industry was facing massive economic sabotage.
“That informed his hiring of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited in 2022 when the country’s oil and gas infrastructures were bleeding. Today, the story is different, as the country is progressing steadily towards attaining a peak in oil production,” he said.
According to Tompolo, Buhari’s unwavering stance on integrity and service to the nation contributed significantly to peace and unity across Nigeria, and his absence will be deeply felt by citizens and leaders alike.
“Nigerians will miss his contributions to the unity and peace of their country. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the country, his family, and close associates. May his soul rest in peace,” he concluded.
