OBIARUKU/Nigeria: Traditional rulers in Ukwuani Local Government Area have been commended for their concerted efforts in ensuring that peace reigns in their Kingdoms and communities even as they were assured of a cordial working relationship with the council.
The Acting Chairman, Ukwuani Local Government, Dr F. O Atube gave this commendation at the Palace of HRM Comr. (Evang) R. C Osanwuta (JP) the Ezhie 1 of Ezionum Kingdom. He thanked him for the royal reception he gave him and his entourage even as he lauded him for his astute and godly leadership which he said has brought tremendous goodwill, peace and the security of lives and property in the local government.
In his words,” Your leadership of the Traditional Rulers Council in the local government has resulted in tremendous goodwill, peace and security. We are proud of what you have done and all that you are doing; we are proud to be associated with you and we shall work together as one” he stated.
Dr Atube who is also the Head of Personnel Management (HPM) also commended the efforts of His Royal Majesty and other traditional rulers in the local government for peace and stability in their various domains. According to him, “in spite of whatever that has happened in the past and may be happening around and within the local government the traditional rulers council have done well,” he said.
He informed the traditional ruler, who is also the Chairman of the Traditional Rulers Council in the local government that as a matter of the doctrine of necessity that the erstwhile Chairman of the Council handed over the leadership of the local government to him on October 26, 2017 and that there is space in the council even while acting as the chairman on the interim.
Dr Atube therefore assured the traditional rulers that while his tenure lasts that he will ensure that his administration sustains the existing peace in the local government as God gives the grace even as he assured them that he will within the short time of acting as chairman impact positively on the lives of the good people of Ukwuani.
Responding, HRM Comr. (Evang) R. C Osanwuta expressed his gratitude to the management of the council for coming to acknowledge the Traditional Rulers Council and assured the Chairman of their support and co-operation at all times. According to him, the peace, security and the advancement of Ukwuani Local Government Area are top priority to the Traditional Rulers Council, as he prayed God to grant the leadership of the council the wisdom and grace to execute their good plans for the local government before their short stay elapses.
