EFFURUN/Nigeria: Residents in an area in Jakpa Road, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, South South Nigeria, are still in shock as to what led to the ‘mysterious’ death of their neighbour, a keke (commercial tricycle) rider (name withheld).
The keke rider was said to have last Friday, 14th September, 2018 hit an old woman while on duty at the ever busy Airport Road Junction. The mama was said to be returning from church on the fateful day.
A co-tenant of the deceased who pleaded anonymity told our correspondent that the aged woman had a minor injury in one of her foot and that there was no dent or damage on the keke after the accident.
According to the eye witness, both the keke rider and the aged woman parted ways amicably.
She however said that the youthful keke rider was later rushed to a private clinic for medical treatment after the accident and that he later gave up the ghost at the said clinic on Sunday, September 16th, 2018.
