EFFURUN/Nigeria: Two men have been arrested on Monday, 25th July for allegedly stealing a Toyota Camry at the Delta Mall in Uvwie Local Government Area and selling it for N300, 000.
It was gathered that the owner of the said vehicle had visited the mall days before to do some shopping. On returning, the car was nowhere to be found.
One of the men (name withheld), who reported the case to the police stated that the buyer was apprehended while trying to register the purchased vehicle at the licensing office and was forced to produce the seller.
He called on the general public to be mindful about purchasing ridiculously cheap items from individuals as such items may be stolen.
He went further to state that situations like this should arouse suspicion and be reported to the police immediately.
The two men are currently in police custody, awaiting court trial.
