WARRI/Nigeria: A 2-man armed robbery gang believed to be terrorizing Warri Garage/Cemetery/Sam Warri Essi areas of Warri with long daggers and cut-to-size double barrel gun were apprehended by men of Red Bar Vigilante Security Organization at about 6. 00 am on Saturday October 6, 2018.
The armed robbers, it was gathered, had succeeded in dispossessing their victim, one Miss Happy, a female keke ticket vendor along Cemetery Road on her way to her usual spot at the Cemetery/Warri-Sapele Road by Warri Garage Junction on the fateful day.
The armed bandits who were said to have allegedly snatched her handbag containing her handset, some bundles of keke tickets and an undisclosed amount of money ran away.
However, luck ran out of them as they took a bad route and while trying to escape from the scene of the crime, took the route of the Red Bar Vigilante Security outfit where they were apprehended.
The apprehended robbers who received the beaten of their lives were later handed over to the police.
Police officers at the Police ‘A’ Division in Warri declined comment on the incident as he referred our correspondent to Police Headquarters, Asaba for confirmation.
