Two persons was shot dead in the night at Obiaruku, the administrative seat of Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State by gun men suspected to be armed robbers.
Sources close to Obairuku Community informed Ndokwa Reporters that at about 10.45pm some unidentified persons invade Benue traders who came from Benue State to sell yams at Obiaruku, Delta State.
The sources said that after their day trade, they (traders) retired to a place where they usually passes night, pointing out that while they were relaxing and some sleeping the men of the under world stormed their spot and started robbing them one after the other’s stressing that on approaching the last person, she raised an alarm, and immediately one of the bandits fired her right leg and left her at the poor of her blood.
At Egwari lane the armed robbers kill one Mr. Batreme Medi and moved to Almona lane, pointing out that on their arrival at Almona lane they sighted one Mr. Friday Okoro, Alas Osmond who was urinating outside and rain bullet shots on him which killed him on sport too.
As at the time of filing in this report, no arrest has been made. However, at the residence of the victims, relatives, and sympathizers were seen in groups discussing the pathetic situations.
At the District Police headquarter Obiaruku, the DPO could not be reach for comment as he was said to have gone out for an official assignment outside the local government but a competent source close to the station confirmed that the matter has being reported and that the police has spread out its drag-net to trap down the fleecing robbers.
