Two Years of Impact: Hon. Osamuta Showcases Achievements in Education, Roads, Empowerment

ABOH/Nigeria: Two years into his tenure, the Member Representing Ndokwa East in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Prince Emeka Osamuta, has delivered an impactful “State of the Constituency Address,” outlining key achievements in legislation, oversight, and representation.

Addressing constituents on Friday, Hon. Osamuta reflected on progress made so far, highlighting gains in education, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and policy advocacy. He noted that through dedication, stakeholder collaboration, and grassroots engagement, the constituency has continued to benefit from strategic developmental interventions.

In the education sector, Osamuta listed projects such as the construction of an administrative building at Ossissa Commercial Secondary School, blocks of classrooms and toilets at Oduga Secondary School, and renovations at Ibrede Grammar School. Others include the construction of an NYSC lodge at Akarai-Obodo and ongoing classroom projects at Utchi and Obetim Uno. Additionally, 275 pupils’ chairs and 25 teachers’ desks were distributed, while dozens of indigent students received free JAMB registration.

On road infrastructure, the lawmaker announced the completion of projects on Okeye and Chief Iyke Oputa Streets in Aboh, and the recent state government approval for a 10.8km Aboh-Akarai concrete road and a 100-metre bridge across the Okiri River, a transformative project for the riverine communities.

“We are not done yet,” Osamuta declared. “I will continue to work hard to ensure critical roads and infrastructure are delivered, while also pursuing climate-resilient projects and flood mitigation strategies.”

He also disclosed efforts to influence budget allocations in the 2025 state budget and affirmed ongoing collaborations with relevant MDAs to sustain growth. Osamuta expressed gratitude to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme, and Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor for their consistent support.

To his constituents, Osamuta said: “Your prayers, constructive feedback, and unwavering support have kept me grounded. I remain committed to humility, transparency, and accountability as I serve.”

Deputy Governor Onyeme, who graced the event as Special Guest, praised Osamuta’s performance, describing his two-year scorecard as one filled with “positive narratives,” and assured the people of Ndokwa East of Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to more projects for the region.

The midterm event drew a crowd of dignitaries and stakeholders, including Rt. Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, Chief Godwin Obeilum, Rt. Hon. Oliseh Imegwu, Chief Chris Opute, and other political leaders across party lines.

The event climaxed with a unanimous vote of confidence passed on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, and Hon. Emeka Osamuta, moved by former Speaker Imegwu and widely endorsed by attendees.
