Ubulu-Uku Monarch to Get Staff Of Office On Monday

Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, has described Ubulu-Uku kingdom in Aniocha South Local Government Council as a backbone to media and information dissemination in Delta State.

He gave the statement on Tuesday when he played host to a delegation from Ubulu-Uku Development Council to officially invite him to the presentation of staff of office to their new monarch, HRM Agbogidi Obi Chukwuka Noah Akaeze salted to hold on Monday 5th
September, 2016 at the Royal Palace Ubulu-Uku.

Mr. Ukah pledged to assist in a way possible to make the ceremony a beffiting and prayed that the coming of the new king in the kingdom will trigger the beginning of new and better things for them.

He assured them of his presence and promised that the coronation will be aired life for thirty minutes on DBS, Asaba, in addition to other print media publications even as he called on them to maintain peaceful co-existence.

Earlier in his speech, the President, Ubulu- Uku Development Council, Comrade Jones Ofunne, while explaining the essence of their visit, commended the government for their efforts so far in ensuring peace and tranquility in the kingdom considering the circumstances that surrounded the transition of their late monarch.

He said, “We are here to formally invite you to the presentation of staff of office to our new king, His Royal Majesty, Agbogidi Obi Chukwuka Noah Akaeze, and to appeal that you use your good office to ensure appropriate media coverage for the ceremony.

We thank the Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, for his huge contributions and efforts towards the actualization of peace and the enabling environment for the presentation of staff of office.”

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of invitation card, radio and television jingles to the Commissioner.

Members of the delegation included Ozoma of Ubulu-Uku and Head of the Royal family, Chief Sunny Ofulue, Palace Secretary, Barr. Joe Obazeh, Mr Emma Banor, Mr Pius Mordi, and Former Assistant General Manager, Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri, Mr Joe Isiekwene.
