ASABA/Nigeria: Immediate Past Governor of Delta State and APC Delta South Senatorial Candidate, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has called on members of the party to imbibe the spirit of winning elections, as he denounced their present cold disposition towards the2019 elections, saying they have not shown that they are ready to win.
The former governor, who was appointed to chair the APC Delta State Campaign Organisation, said that the commitment to win must always be displayed by party faithfuls.
The former governor, among other officials including his co-chairmen; Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, Dr. Alex Ideh and other members of the Campaign Council were inaugurated at the weekend at Orchid Group of Hotels, Asaba.
Accorcing to Uduaghan who harped on the need for party leaders and stakeholders to inculcate the spirit of winning election in members of the party. He told the mammoth crowd that the only way to secure victory at the polls is through hard work and not jostle for positions.
“We must all make efforts to win all our elections. You cannot say you are a member of APC without working for the success of the party. If President Buhari wins and you don’t win at the state level, it will be difficult to stand shoulder to shoulder with others in Abuja because you won’t be recognized.
The secret of winning election is making effort to win your unit. On the day of the election, I will be in my unit in Abigborodo. You should be in your unit too. Positions are an invitation to more work. So let us live up to the bidding of the various positions we hold in our party,” he added.
Those present at the Delta APC Campaign Council include Delta State Gubernatorial candidate – Great Ogboru, State Coordinator Presidential Campaign Council, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, Co-State Coordinator Coordinator, PCC, Hon. Temi Harriman, State DG, PCC, Dr. Cairo Ojugoh, State Spokesperson, PCC. George Timinimi, DG State Campaign Council, among others.
