Ukah Commends Ossai For Choice Of Constituency Projects In Education

KWALE/Nigeria: Delta State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Patrick Ukah, has lauded the vision of the member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ossai Nicholas Ossai, for impacting on the lives of children through his constituency projects.

Mr. Ukah made the commendation during the commissioning of blocks of three classrooms with chairs for three secondary schools, namely Ibrede Grammar School, Ibrede, Girls’ Secondary School, Utagba-Ogbe, and Ebologu Grammar School, Utagba-Uno, in Ndokwa East and West Local Government Areas sponsored by the lawmaker.

The Education Commissioner, who stated that the initiative would go a long way towards complementing Senator Ifeanyi Okowa aministration’s commitment in providing conducive learning environment for children, urged the management of the benefitting schools to ensure that the facilities were put into effective use.

He enjoined school heads in the state to always interface with critical stakeholders in their domains with a view to fashioning out measures through which school facilities and equipment could be adequately protected from vandalism, adding that the ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has the needs assessment of each school in the state.

Earlier, Hon. Ossai described education as the best legacy every leader should bequeath on his people, adding that education played key role in the sustenance of any society.

Hon. Ossai, who emphasised the multiplier effects of the facilities in the area of teaching and learning, disclosed that apart from the classrooms, a total of 300 chairs were also provided by him, just as he said that in the time past he had provided 100 sets of computers for Ibrede Grammar School, Ibrede.
