ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Commissioner for Information, Chief Patrick Ukah, has described the late Sir Hon. Francis Obiekea, as a devoted Christian, a consummate politician and a dedicated family man whose attributes should be emulated by the younger generation.
Chief Ukah, who spoke after the burial ceremony of the late Obiekea at Okpanam over the weekend, called on youths to live exemplary life devoid of violence and other negative tendencies and contribute their quota to the development of their communities.
He said that the advice is hinged on the fact that thuggery, hard drugs, violence and other such behavioral attributes will not lead them to any bright future.
The Commissioner for Information further charged youths to acquire higher education as was the case of the late Obiekea that enabled him to impact positively on people during his active days as a teacher.
Chief Ukah urged the children of the diseased not to mourn as people who do not have hope, but to believe in God for better days ahead because God is able to do all things.
He prayed that God should grant the soul of the departed eternal life and give the family he fortitude to bear their irreparable loss.
