Obiaruku: Multi Telecommunication Network popularly known as MTN have extended their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to Ukwuani LGA, as they donated reading and writing materials to five primary schools in Ukwuani LGA.
They donated study materials which include mathematical sets, books, was giving to the five schools that were visited in Ukwuani LGA which are, Morka primary School Obiaruku, Adonishaka primary school Ebedei,. Esume-uku primary school Obiaruku, Nge primary school Amai, Emeni primary School Obiaruku.
The MTN team was led by Mr. Eni Jimoh who is an illustrious son of Ukwuani LGA to all the schools.
All the community representatives who spoke on behalf of the communities where full of thanks to MTN for remembering their community and specifically thanked Mr Eni Jimoh for the vital role he played in making MTN to remember their little children.
The MTN representatives that spoke however charged the communities and the schools to make judicious use of the materials that was presented to them, while thanking the communities for accepting MTN as their preferred network. They charged the communities to continue to patronise MTN as they will continue to do their best to deliver the best quality service to the communities.
However, the people from Obiaruku community specifically appealed to MTN to have a service centre in Obiaruku as the closest MTN service centre to them is in Warri and Asaba. The MTN representatives that were present promised to look into their appeal but were quick to advice that such request can be granted if there is enough customer base in Obiaruku as MTN is a profit oriented company just like any company that is in business.
