Calaber: The University of Calaber has reprimanded a lecturer, Dr Joseph Odok who was suspended few weeks ago over possession of fire arms and conniving with youths over social media attack on the Vice Chancellor.
The University through its Vice Chancellor, Prof Zana Akpagu ordered the Police to conduct a search on Odok and his properties which came out negative. The Police couldn’t find any of the above evidence as warranted by the varsity on Odok.
The accused, Dr Odok who was allegedly battered by the institution is still in the police custody after his arrest on Saturday.
If we recalled, Dr Joseph Odok was suspended few days ago over not returning/answering a multiple queries by the university, but Odok who presented the evidence of his replies said the institution is jolting his arms as someone is trying to set him up and pull him down over nothing.
Odok said, the suspension is a lack of charisma from the Vice Chancellor and that he’s not afraid of losing his job.
By the time of filing this report, Dr Joseph Odok is still in the police custody in Calabar.
