Uvwie Monarch Charges Traditional Chiefs On Good Leadership ….Says Women Cannot Be Traditional Chiefs in The Kingdom

EFFURUN/Nigeria: HRM Dr Emmanuel Sideso Abe I the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom has charged traditional chiefs in Uvwie Kingdom of good leadership.

Abe 1 gave the charge shortly before he installed three traditional chiefs in Uvwie Kingdom.

Traditional chiefs in Uvwie Kingdom are: Unuevworo (traditional mouth piece) Usavwre (traditional key) and Isirera (the most senior chief in terms of chieftaincy conferment)

The traditional ruler proclaimed that a female cannot be a traditional chief in Uvwie Kingdom.

He noted that traditional chiefs installed to assist in the traditional administration of their respective etches (traditional administrative units)

The Uvwie monarch therefore admonished that traditional chiefs will be accountable for any development in their etches.

The traditional chiefs that were installed included : High Chief Patrick Okoto the Unuevworo (traditional administrative mouth piece) of Etche R’ Ogbe ( traditional administrative unit ) in Uvwie Kingdom, High Chief Godwin Ejumi the Unuevworo (traditional administrative mouth piece ) of Etche R ‘ Ugboroke ( traditional administrative unit ) and High Chief Emmanuel Otomiewo the Usavwre (traditional key ) of Etche R ‘ Ugboroke (traditional administrative unit)

Abe 1 also proclaimed that the areas that comprised Etche R ‘ Ugboroke are: Ugboroke, Ugborodjo, Ugborikoko and DDPA.

He had earlier explained that the traditional chiefs were installed to fill the vacancies created by the demise of those held the respective traditional positions.

The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom commended and awarded a certificate of merit to the Isirera of Etche R’ Ugboroke, High Chief Francis Oghomitse for holding brief for the late Unuevworo of Etche R ‘ Ugboroke High Chief ( Hon) Dennis Oghenebukome Omovie and the late Usavwre of the traditional administrative unit, High Chief ( Engineer ) Mike Emiruaye  ( JP).

High point of the event was the administration of oaths of office and allegiance on the newly installed traditional chiefs by Uvwie born legal luminary Joseph Agbamu.
