Effurun: As part of their projects to embark on in the years ahead, the Effurun branch of the Nigeria Bar association NBA, has expressed its readiness to partner with the Delta state government and other notable stakeholders in the actualization of a befitting ultra modern Court complex for the Effurun judicial division.
Chairman of the branch, Dennis Agbaga, Esq who made the disclosure during his welcome address at the 1st year anniversary of the branch in Effurun, also disclosed the plan of the branch to embark on other laudable initiatives, like; the enhancing of the Okere prisons, through partnership with prison services and stakeholders, exposure of members of the branch to international programmes on legal practice and jurisprudence, amongst others to add value to their legal practice and justice delivery in the state.
The branch Chairman while expressing gratitude to the state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and the Chief Judge of the state Justice Marshal Umukoro for their vital role in the inauguration of the branch, also commended HRM , Emmanuel Sideso, Abe I, the Ovie of Uvwie kingdom, whose royal contributions also led to the actualization of the branch.
During the lecture tagged; “The 21st century legal profession and its social responsibility”, by Arthur Obi-Okafor SAN, hopes were also expressed for the young branch to build on its achievements in the years to come.
