ISELE-UKU/Nigeria: Following the trend in election matters in Nigeria, an illustrious son of Issele-Uku Kingdom in Aniocha North LGA of Delta State and renowned journalist, Comrade Kingsley Azuh has encouraged the youths of Issele-Uku to go out on Saturday morning to vote and secure their votes in the Governorship/House of Assembly election.
He gave this advice in what he called “Operation Defend Your Votes” while addressing the youths of Ogboli Quarters of Ward 7 Issele-Uku on Friday 8th March, 2019.
Comrade Kingsley Azuh affirmed that it was necessary to educate the youths on their voting rights and most importantly the need to defend their votes.
The popular journalist and leader in Issele-Uku, again called on the youths to be mindful of those who come to entice them with money to vote against their conscience in the forthcoming election, adding that it has become critical for the youths of Issele-Uku to know that they must vote candidates according to their conscience and ensure that their votes are secured.
“Who you vote is your concern. You must not allow unprogressive elements amongst us to deceive you and cause crisis of interests amongst you.
You must go out and prove your strength by voting. And you must protect your votes from being tampered with by sinister motive individuals in our midst.
This election is about Operation Defend Your Votes. That is my message to you this evening”, Comrade Azuh appealed.
Meanwhile, the duo of Comrades Sebastian Emeka Osuji and Patrick Ochei also laid credence to what their senior colleague had said; and charged the youths to go out to vote and defend their votes for their preferred candidates.
However, the youths consented to the admonition of their leader, Azuh, with a promise that they would conduct themselves in the best of manners at the election, without letting anybody intimidate them while voting and defending their votes.
