WARRI/Nigeria: Ahead of the 2019 general elections, the President General of Urhobo Rebirth Congress, Comrade Stephen Ogheneochuko has advised citizens of Urhobo nation, especially the youths to vote wisely for the candidates of their choice.
Comrade Ogheneochuko said the Urhobos were not known for violence, thuggery therefore they should comport themselves during the campaign and elections period and never to be used by any politician for their selfish interest.
He urged citizens to vote for politician they feel can bring dividends of democracy to them and shun all vices that can derail the system.
The President General predicted that the Urhobo land was going to be great nation on earth where the whole world would converge as their Mecca or Jerusalem if they could continue to work in peace and unity since they have abundance of human and natural resources on earth.
The president of the Urhobo rebirth congress, who addressed journalists in Udu, stated that the country would be very peaceful after the election as he further said that the country would experience more progress than we have now, he appealed that the people should corporate with any government in power so that those in authority could have settled mind to transmit the dividends of democracy to all.
He appealed to the people to be united and listen to their leaders at all times and never to have a dividend mind which will lead them to nowhere, explaining that “in Unity we stand and in division we will Fall and can never be in a united front” affirming that the purpose of his forum was to ensure that the Urhobos are very united and have one voice like they had it during the days of Bendel State.
The Urhobo Rebirth Congress President while thanking God for the Urhobos that celebrated Christmas successfully last year, wished them happy and a Prosperous New year just as he prayed that whatever any Urhobo person lays his hands to do this new year will yield abundant blessing and Prosperity.
