Warri: The Warri South 1 Constituency bye-election shut down parts of the oil -rich city yesterday just as it witnessed massive turnout of voters.
Our correspondent reports that markets, schools, petrol stations and others were under lock and key yesterday and that accreditation of voters kicked off early in the various units and voting also went on peacefully.
The exercise, it was observed, was peaceful in areas affected by the bye-election and witnessed massive turnout of voters.

Meanwhile, while report indicates that APC allegely won three units out of four so far in Ekurede-Urhobo Area, fight purportedly broke out at Ubeji community and it was alleged that Police Officers acting on the directive of a political party leader fired tear gas canister, thus making APC agents in the area to decline signing the result sheets, even as thumb printing reportedly continued despite APC resistance.
