Warri/Uvwie Area Dev. Law to Speedup Infrastructural Dev – Aide

ASABA/Nigeria: The Warri/Uvwie and environ Special Area Development Law is a deliberate effort of government, crafted to speed up huge infrastructural development in line with Gov. Okowa administration second tenure “Stronger Delta” socioeconomic remodeling agenda.
Executive Assistant to Gov Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa on Communications, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, in a statement commended the visionary leadership of the Governor, for his leadership ingenuity as can be seen from this administration’s genuine commitment towards the speedy overall development of the three senatorial districts in the state.
He noted that Warri/Uvwie and environs deserved prime focus in infrastructural development as a result of its huge commercial activities and as host communities for crude oil exploration and key stakeholders in revenue generation like other communities across the state.
He further disclosed that development of Warri/Uvwie and Environ will provide jobs for both skilled and unskilled labourers thereby advancing the prosperity of the people in the area and beyond in terms of specialised services, increased commercial activities and good roads network for transportation of raw and finished products in and out the area.
“Warri, Uvwie and environ shall soon be transformed into an enviable area expected of modern cities through government deliberate efforts to facilitate infrastructural development which will in turn jack up result oriented commercial activities and restore superlative night life and in the same token promote tourism.
“The youths in the area shall be engaged during massive construction works in the area; while suppliers and food vendors shall smile to the banks, which are the very essence of a Stronger Delta vision of Gov Okowa, where citizens are economically strong and stable, prosperous and self reliance.
“More infrastructural development plans shall unfold within the next four years that would open up new businesses; take care of the huge Infrastructural deficit as a result of negligence and lack of maintenance culture occasioned by either mismanagement of funds or other factors which the immediate past administration could not explain to the satisfaction of the good people of Delta State,” Oghenesivbe said.
