We are Not on Strike, DELSU Management

ABRAKA/Nigeria: The Management of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, had  debunked rumours that the institution has joined the nationwide strike embarked upon by the national body of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr. Freeborn Aganbi, described the rumour as baseless and unfounded, noting that it was the handi-work of agents of mischief.
The statement read in part: “Those carrying this rumour are agents of mischief who are bent on misleading students of the institution.
“ The university only went on holidays for the Yuletide season on the 27, 2018. The students will resume on the January 6, 2019.
“ For the records, Delta State University is not on strike as our staff are currently going about their work quietly in the various  departments, faculties and up to management level.
“ We urge our students to disregard this rumour and prepare for their resumption next year. We wish you all a prosperous New Year in advance.”
Recall that some media outfit had reported that Delta State University has joined the nationwide strike embarked upon by the national body of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
