Chief Mike Onah, Leader of the Ndokwa Leaders Forum (NLF)
The Ndokwa Political Forum, (NPF) said the body went to the recent interactive Session on the proposed national conference under a group called Anioma Congress. This was disclosed during the monthly meeting of the body at Utagba Uno on Saturday.
The Leader of the Political Group, Chief Onah said this is necessary for a more united front to achieve the aspiration of the Ndokwa Nation. According to the him, he and Gen Oyekweli represented the body in Benin. It could be recalled that the Ndokwa Political Stakeholders Forum (NPSHF) were also at the aborted session. He also informed the meeting that the Anioma Congress had the following submissions.
1) Government should not nominate Confab members
2) Duration of Conference should be six months.
3) Approval of decision reached should be through referendum and not through the National Assembly
Speaking Further, Chief Onah appealed to the Ndokwa People to be united to better Ndokwa Nation.
The meeting also looked at the issue of the NDDC Commissioner for Delta State, and said that it had been giving to the Urhobo’s because of the continuous attack on the person and position of the Governor of Delta State. In a recent interview with the Ndokwa reporters, the President General of the NNU said the issue is a rumour and the apex body cannot work based on rumours, since he direct contact with the Governor
However, the meeting was informed that the approved name for the group is now Ndokwa Leaders Forum, (NLF) as approved by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). The meeting also agreed that the official language should be Ukwuani. A secretary was elected in the person of Bar. Ekeruche. The body also agreed to forget the issue of the NDDC, and pursue other needs of the Ndokwa people.
One of the notable members, Chief Nwachukwu warned against the body been used as a PDP platform, but should discuss Ndokwa affairs.
Present in the meeting were Sir Okenmore Fidelis Tilije, Sir Eric Anigala, Bar.Sam Osasa, Gen.Onyekweli, Gen.Ndubisi, Chief Mike Onah, Hon.A.C.Ojo, Hon.Azuka Azaka, Sir Okolugbo, Hon.Collins Eke, Hon Mercy Almona-Itse. Others were Hon.Mercy Ashibogu and a host of others.
