ASABA/Nigeria: Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. (Pharm.) Nelson Ejakpovi has said the people of Delta South Senatorial District and those of Isoko nation voted for the return of Senator James Manager and Hon. Leo Ogor to the Senate and House of Representatives respectively because of the legislative experience they have gathered over the years.

According to him, “that our great party, the PDP lost the Presidential election to the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is not in doubt because, as an umpire that is supposed to be unbiased, INEC is not supposed to use card reader in the South and give room for multiple voting without the card reader in the North; we believe our tested Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and our party will know what to do in the interest of our great party and our country.”
“We are happy that against all odds, Senator James Manager of Delta South and Hon. Leo Ogor of Isoko Federal Constituency got the nod of our people to continue to represent them; the implication of their victory is that the people of Delta South and Isoko nation are predominantly, members of the PDP,” he said, adding, “while we congratulate Most Distinguished Senator Manager, our Rep, Hon. Ogor and other NASS candidates of the PDP for their resounding victories in the polls, it is worthy to state that their victories are also, clear manifestation of what will be witnessed in the governorship and state assembly elections.”
He continued, “our Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has been a loyal party man since the formation of our great party, the PDP; he has served our state and our party in different capacities where he proved that he can be trusted as a performer; his re-election no doubt, is a done deal.”
“On Saturday, March 9, 2019, the hour will be upon us as Deltans to speak with one voice and cast our votes for Governor Okowa and all the candidates of the PDP for the state assembly elections, especially, the Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Tim Owhefere of Isoko North Constituency who is at home at al, times with his people, our people,” Dr Ejakpovi who is the Chairman, Governing Council, Delta State School of Health Technology, Ofuoma stated.
The grassroots politician observed that the fact that the PDP won in the state during the Presidential and National Assembly elections were clear signs that the governorship and state assembly elections will be clear victory for the candidates of the party, reiterating, “the only language that we understand in Delta State is the language of the PDP, the only logo we know for the past twenty years is the umbrella logo in the ballot papers and it is a natural phenomenon to vote PDP because, Delta is synonymous with the PDP; from all the units in the state, we shall monitor the results, there will be no room for manipulation of results because, we are in majority and will be extra vigilant.”
