Women are Strength, Pillar Of Men, Says A Political Aide

OKPANAM/Nigeria: The Special Assistant to the Delta State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Felix Ideh has described women folk as the pillar and strength of every man in the society especially their success and progress in life.

Mr. Ideh, who sated this in his Okpanam country home during the induction of  Umuolie wives/assumption as the position of their leader by the first wife of the family,Mrs. Rhoda Ideh , who was represented by  her mate ,Mrs. Patricia Ideh , said that  the induction would help to promote more unity among their wives.

The Basic and Secondary Education Commissioner’s  Aide advised the women to maintain their peaceful dispositions at all times, adding that their positive influence brought o bear among their husbands with a view to impacting positively on the society.

In her remarks, the representative of the first wife of Umuolie wives, Mrs. Patricia Adaeze Ideh,  a retired nurse said that it was an aged long practice in the area for the first married wife who incidentally became the senior to assume the leadership position of the woman.

Mrs. Patricia  Ideh while speaking further  on behalf of the senior wife, noted that it was heartwarming to receive Umuolie wives , stressing that it was imperative for them to come together under one indivisible umbrella so as to chart a common goal.

The Umuolie oldest wife stated that as their leader she would operate open door policy and embrace useful ideas that would move the forum forward, even as she disclosed that the group would meeting consistently to brainstorm together on issues that concerned the growth of Umuolie family.

While calling on other wives to come out and identify with the forum and join hands with her and others to bring unity as well as peace to the fold, Mrs. Rodha Ideh urged their wives to continue to support their husbands in building their families.

In their separate remarks, some women who spoke including Mrs.  Josphine Chidi , Mrs Nkechi Ideh and madam Margret Okolie described Mrs. Rodha Ideh as an asset to Umuolie wives and pledged their cooperation to enable her succeed .

Speaking in an interview with newsmen, a cross section of their husbands including the Oldest man in the family, elder  Philip Agala , Mr. Jude Okafor and Mr. Chukwudi Chidi said that they would their wives the needed support, adding that they were elated to see their women came together and were speaking in one voice, just as they prayed for longevity of life for their wives and wisdom for their leader in her assignment.

Earlier in a sermon during a mass at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Okpanam, Rev. Fr. Paul Adione  adminished Christians to always seek the face of God and thank Him for blessings, saying that the lives of every human being began and ended with God.
