Asaba: The Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Religious Matters, Bishop Greatman Nmalagu, has called on Deltans to always have true reconciliation with God and fellow man.
The Assistant to the governor made the call in his Christmas and New Year messages to Deltans, where he reminded them that the annual celebration of the birth of Christ should be marked with the intent to be closer to God, and fellow man, most especially as the festival of Christmas always usher in the new year.
“While we are praying to enter next year after Christmas celebration, let there be true reconciliation with God and fellow human being”. He said.
He asked that the festival should not just be based on merriment, of eating and drinking but the spiritual aspect of it should be the most desired of the celebration.
According to Bishop Nmalagu, Jesus came to the world to reconcile God and man, and also ensure that they live happily with each other, as he puts it, “Which is also the reason why Jesus came to the world”.
He further noted that Deltans and Christians in general can only have that desired joy of Christmas if they imbibe the spirit of true reconciliation always.
Bishop Nmalagu also asked Deltans to pray for the country so that the very difficult situation of economic recession in the country will be a thing of the past in the shortest period.
