ABUJA/Nigeria: Senator Peter Nwaoboshi (PDP, Delta North) has congratulated the good people of Anioma nation and Nigerians on attaining the New Year 2021 (AD).
In his New Year ‘Message of Hope & Light’, the Senate Committee Chairman on Niger Delta noted that Nigerians have the inalienable rights to be happy with rays of hope and light for the New Year, having been battered by the uncertainties that plagued and trailed the Year 2020. Senator Peter Nwaoboshi was direct in his message of hope as only the living could be thankful to the almighty maker for being alive.
Furthermore, the elder statesman noted that despite the numerous challenges facing our dear country Nigeria, he is of utmost belief that we are greatly capable of surmounting the challenges of the present time through acts of patriotism, unity in purpose and oneness. He equally noted that Nigerians have always risen above adversaries – including existential threats to the nation as evidenced in the past.
The former two times Delta State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also lauded the concerted efforts of the Federal Government of Nigeria in containing the second wave of the highly infectious Covid-19 disease as well as the security challenges affecting the nation.
In a similar way, the Ibusa-born political ivory urged Nigerians to augment the efforts of the various levels of government by observing acts that can further reduce the spread of the second wave of Covid-19 disease especially wearing of nosemask, maintaining social distance and other Non Pharmaceutical Initiatives (NPIs) as directed by the National Center For Disease Control (NCDC).
