YULETIDE: Ezewu Harps On Need For Parents To Guide Children Against Negative Peer Group Influence

ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu has called on parents and guardians to guide and protect their children and wards against negative peer group influence during and after the yuletide.

Mrs. Ezewu, who made the call in Asaba, while speaking with journalists, said that some unscrupulous individuals always took advantage of the end-of-year parties to carry out their immortal activities.

The commissioner urged parents to be wary of the kind of friends and associate their children’s Identities.

Mrs. Ezewu, however, enjoined students to avoid keeping bad friends that would not contribute meaningfully to their well-being but up to endanger their lives.

She further emphasised the need for students to take their studies seriously and keep friends who were committed to giving their lives meaning.

Mrs. Ezewu also admonished them to desist from crimes and immoral behaviours at all times.
