Environmental Sanitation Exercise Holds in Delta State January 25

ASABA/Nigeria: The Environmental Sanitation Exercise for the month of January will hold in Delta State on Saturday, January 25, 2020, between the hours of 7.00 am and 10.00 am.
A statement signed by the State Director of Information, Mr Dona Obuseh, said during the period of the exercise, there will be no restrictions on the movement of persons and vehicles due to the on-going West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), adding those involved in inter-state journey and those engage in essential services are free to go about their legitimate duties.
The statement further said the State Commissioner for Environment, Mr Chris Onogba will lead staff of the ministry and other relevant government agencies to monitor the exercise, while officials of the State Waste Management Board and Local Government Councils will evacuate the resultant refuse to dump sites approved by government.
It enjoined Deltans and residents in the State to use the period of the exercise to keep their surroundings and drainages clean.
