WARRI/Nigeria: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain, Chief Sunny Onuesoke has affirmed that Delta State Governor and PDP Governorship candidate in 2019 governorship election, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa will surprise Delta State All Progressive Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Delta State governorship election.
Onuesoke who made the statement while hosting PDP Unit 11 Executives and Edjeba community during a New Year Party at the weekend he hosted for them at Agbarha Ward 1, urged the community to repeat the love they have for PDP since 1999 in the state by voting enmass for all PDP candidates in the fourth coming general election.
He recalled that it is on record that Delta state has always been PDP state from time immemorial, adding that this coming election will be a shocker to Chief Great Ogboru and his group despite their dependence on Federal might.
“You cannot win election on the media or by depending on Federal might without having any structure on ground. It is a known fact that PDP has a solid structure in Delta state. It is also a known fact that the structure is expanding everyday because of the good work of the governor in the state. The structure is more solid now with more loyalists trooping to PDP from other parties in the state. Ogboru and his few groups will be shock to the bone marrow when Okowa and other PDP candidates will sweep all the seats at stake.
“APC do not have any structure in Delta state from time immemorial and the little structure they have had been dismantled as a result of internal crisis within the state APC party. So tell me how they will defeat PDP in the state. A house divided within it cannot stand. They should go and put their house in order before thinking of winning election in Delta State.,” Onuesoke advised.
Onuesoke who commenced the foundation laying ceremony of a modern market In Edjeba community, in AGBARHA,Ughelli North LGA, Delta State initiated by Onuesoke Foundation The community was shock by the commencement of the market project.
He enjoined them to continue showing love to Ifeanyi Okowa and other PDP contestants by not only casting their votes for the Party, but they should also encourage others to do likewise so as to continue with the dividend and benefit of democracy as being provided by Okowa’s SMART agenda in the state.
He revealed that Okowa has done quite well to deserve a second term in office, adding that since he assumed office he has done much to ensure peace, unity and harmony in diverse and complex Delta state.onuesoke also promised the community that Okowa will commence the EDJEBA road project very soon.
Onuesoke described Okowa as a natural peace maker, a conciliator and a bridge builder of immense characteristics whom God has bestowed leadership on and as such deserve to rule for second term.
The PDP Chieftain pointed out that the people of Delta State are very lucky and blessed to have such an inspired and dedicated leader in the person of Okowa as governor, adding that because of the good work he had done in the state, the people should compensate him by voting for him en masse so as to complete the good work he has started.
