OTOR-IGHO/Nigeria: In a decisive move to curb the spread of cholera through contaminated drinking water, the Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, Godwin Ogorugba, on Monday visited the newly rehabilitated water supply scheme in Otor-Igho community.
Ogorugba reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing quality and accessible drinking water to every household in the local government, emphasizing that the rehabilitation of water supply schemes in Otor-Igho and Ekiugbo-Iyede communities aligns with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda.
“This borehole project is powered by solar energy, ensuring year-round water availability for my people. My administration will continue to work towards providing every community with access to quality drinking water,” Ogorugba stated.
The Delta South Zonal Director of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mrs. Ewubare Pamela, commended the chairman for his developmental strides, particularly in prudent resource management. “Mr. Chairman, we are proud of your leadership. Isoko North is indeed fortunate to have you at the helm,” she remarked.
