Chief Ukah was one of the newly elected NIPR Council members who attended the week-long retreat held at the Customs Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada, Abuja, from Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25, 2025.

The retreat was designed as a strategic planning session to chart the vision, priorities, and key deliverables of the new Council in line with national development imperatives. It culminated in the formal inauguration of the new Council by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris.

Ukah’s participation followed a formal request to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. With the NIPR Council activities concluded, focus now shifts to the NRMG Implementation Board and Advisory Body retreat where Chief Ukah is again expected to play a central role. The three-day meeting is billed for Monday, July 28 to Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Best Premier Hotel, Maitama, Abuja.

The NRMG retreat, coordinated by NIPR Registrar Chief Uzoma Onyegbadue, FNIPR, will focus on aligning key stakeholders, defining strategic objectives, and developing a unified roadmap to reposition Nigeria’s image globally.

Participants will engage in deep sessions to understand the NRMG’s structure, vision, mission, and bye-laws. The agenda also includes developing a 12-month roadmap and identifying quick-impact projects to strengthen Nigeria’s reputation architecture.

Chief Ukah’s back-to-back engagements underscore his growing national influence in strategic communication and public relations. His contributions have drawn commendation from the NIPR leadership, who lauded his unwavering dedication to the institute’s mission.

They expressed confidence that Ukah’s leadership will further enhance Nigeria’s global image while promoting professional excellence in communication and governance.
