Dafinone Hails Orodje of Okpe’s 19-Year Reign of Peace and Progress

ABUJA/Nigeria: Senator Ede Dafinone has joined voices across Delta State and beyond in celebrating His Royal Majesty, Orhue I, Maj. Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd), the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, on the occasion of his 19th coronation anniversary, describing his reign as a beacon of peace, unity, and purposeful leadership.

In a congratulatory message issued on Monday, Dafinone, who represents Delta Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, praised the monarch for his visionary leadership since ascending the throne on July 29, 2006, noting that the Orodje’s reign has ushered in a season of visible transformation and harmony across the Okpe Kingdom.

“On behalf of the Dafinone family and the great people of Delta Central, I extend my warmest congratulations to Your Royal Majesty, Orhue I, on this milestone anniversary,” the senator stated. “Your reign has brought enduring peace, unity, and development to the Okpe Kingdom. The transformation of Orerokpe, our kingdom’s traditional headquarters, is a lasting testament to your commitment to the good of our people.”

Dafinone also commended the monarch for his role as Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, describing his conduct in that position as marked by “uncommon dignity, restraint, and courage,” and lauding his contribution to fostering peace and cultural preservation across the state.

“Your Majesty’s role as a custodian of culture and an advocate for peaceful coexistence has been instrumental in shaping a more stable and forward-looking Delta,” he said.

As sons and daughters of the Okpe Kingdom and other well-wishers nationwide mark the anniversary, Senator Dafinone offered prayers for the monarch’s continued good health and wisdom in leading the kingdom to greater heights.

“May your reign continue to flourish with divine wisdom and even greater accomplishments,” he declared.

Ending with the traditional salute of loyalty, Dafinone affirmed, “Long live the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom. Umogu! Umogu!! Umogu!!! Une su tor, une re`tor!”
