Delta APC Chieftain Eboh Insists Ned Nwoko’s 2027 Endorsement Is ‘Valid and Irrevocable’

Senator Ned Nwoko, Senator Representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly

ASABA/Nigeria: A frontline leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Chief Emmanuel Afam Eboh, has declared that the endorsement of Senator Ned Nwoko by Delta North APC stakeholders ahead of the 2027 polls remains valid and cannot be reversed.

Reacting to criticisms from an APC local government party chairman, Mr. Norbert Akachukwu Sochukwudinma, who questioned the endorsement during a recent television interview, Eboh dismissed the objection as inconsequential and lacking authority.

He recalled that on June 14, 2025, thousands of APC leaders and members from the nine local government areas of Delta North met in Idumuje-Ugboko, where they passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and Senator Nwoko, pledging support for their re-election bids in 2027. The meeting, he stressed, was constitutionally convened by Delta North APC Chairman Chief Eluaka Adizua, with State Chairman Chief Omeni Sobotie in attendance.

“Sochukwudinma even attended the meeting and never raised any objection,” Eboh told journalists in Abuja. “His statements after the fact are unrealistic and mischievous. It is laughable for him to criticise a crucial meeting he voluntarily participated in. This is just an attempt to seek attention.”

Eboh accused Sochukwudinma of desperation and attempting to create a rift between Nwoko and Governor Oborevwori for personal political gain. He claimed that the same party official had recently visited Senator Nwoko in Abuja to pledge loyalty and had been warmly received.

Questioning Sochukwudinma’s contributions to the APC, Eboh argued that the senator’s efforts in strengthening the party in Delta and at the national level far outweighed those of his critic. “What Senator Nwoko has achieved in the past six months in building the APC, Sochukwudinma cannot achieve in 20 years,” he said.

He described Nwoko as an asset to the APC’s success and the advancement of the Renewed Hope and MORE Agenda, urging Sochukwudinma and his allies to retrace their steps and join in the push for a stronger party in Delta North.

If you’d like, I can also craft a more hard-edged, politically charged headline that frames this as an open intra-party clash in Delta APC to grab more media traction.
