ABUJA/Nigeria: Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the celebration of this year’s Eid-ul-Mawlid, which marks the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
In a goodwill message issued on Friday, September 5, 2025, Dafinone described Eid-ul-Mawlid as a period of deep reflection on the life, virtues, and teachings of the Prophet, noting that his enduring message of peace, compassion, tolerance, and unity remained highly relevant in today’s world.
He urged Muslims in Delta Central, Delta State, and Nigeria at large to use the occasion to pray for peace, unity, and progress in the country, stressing the importance of working together across ethnic and religious divides to strengthen national cohesion.
“On this special day, I also call on all Nigerians to show love to one another, extend a helping hand to the needy, and promote harmony in our communities. In doing so, we honour the Holy Prophet’s legacy and contribute to building a stronger, more united Nigeria,” the senator said.
While wishing Muslims a joyous and peaceful Eid-ul-Mawlid, Dafinone prayed that the celebration would bring blessings, peace, and prosperity to homes, Delta State, and the nation at large.
