
LAGOS/Nigeria: The Lagos Water Corporation (LWC) has begun a three-day high-impact leadership training programme aimed at strengthening leadership capacity and positioning the agency for sustainable growth and future readiness.
The training, themed “Building a Future-Ready Utility Company,” runs from Tuesday, October 14 to Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Corporation’s Water House in Ijora, Lagos.
Managing Director of LWC, Mr. Mukhtaar Tijani, described the initiative as a strategic step toward enhancing leadership effectiveness and organisational performance. He commended the facilitators, Mr. Tokunbo Adeboye and Mrs. Funmi Adegoke of Sales Foxce Multidynamics Limited, for their commitment to impactful knowledge transfer and results-driven engagement.
Tijani stressed the importance of continuous leadership development, noting that it enables institutions to remain competitive, achieve strategic goals, and adapt to rapidly evolving operational landscapes.
“This programme will be beneficial to all participants. It will help us improve communication, strengthen leadership capacity, and translate our vision into measurable results,” he said, adding that he looks forward to joining the closing session to share in the learning experience.
Delivering an overview of the training, Mr. Tokunbo Adeboye said the High-Impact Leadership Programme was designed to equip leaders with the tools and strategies required to drive meaningful transformation within the organisation.
He explained that the core objectives include fostering innovation, promoting creative problem-solving, enhancing decision-making, and building high-performing teams capable of delivering sustainable impact.
