
ASABA/Nigeria: The newly completed Omadino Model Technical College in Warri South Local Government Area will be inaugurated on Monday, February 2, 2026, by Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, reinforcing the state government’s commitment to functional education and workforce development.
A statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, disclosed that the inauguration ceremony will take place at the college premises by 10:00am, with invited guests expected to be seated by 9:30am.
The Omadino Model Technical College is one of the legacy projects inherited by the Oborevwori administration and has now been completed and fully positioned to deliver modern technical and vocational education that meets contemporary industry standards.
Designed to equip students with practical, market-relevant skills, the institution is expected to promote self-reliance, enhance employability and support national productivity goals. The college is equipped with purpose-built workshops, modern classrooms, laboratories and specialised training facilities.
According to the statement, Governor Oborevwori considers technical and vocational education a critical pillar of his MORE Agenda, particularly in creating pathways for youths to acquire employable skills, reduce unemployment and contribute meaningfully to socio-economic development across Delta State.
The inauguration is expected to attract education stakeholders, community leaders and government officials, marking another milestone in the administration’s resolve to strengthen human capital development and expand access to quality, functional education in the state.
