
ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm felicitations to elder statesman and former Chairman of the Transition Committee of Okpe Local Government, Chief Joseph Asini, on the occasion of his 88th birth anniversary celebrated on Sunday, March 15.
In a statement issued in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor commended the revered Okpe leader for his enduring contributions to the development of Okpe Kingdom and Delta State at large.
Governor Oborevwori described Chief Asini as a respected leader whose wisdom, guidance and commitment to the progress of his people have continued to make significant impact in the socio-political growth of the state.
“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta State, I heartily congratulate our father and leader, Okakuro Joseph Asini, the Oghweibor of Okpe Kingdom, on the occasion of his 88th birth anniversary,” the governor stated.
He noted that the milestone offered a fitting opportunity to celebrate a life marked by dedication to service, leadership and the advancement of community development.
Oborevwori also prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the elder statesman, saying: “It is my pleasure to join your family, friends and well-wishers in thanking Almighty God for His grace, protection and sustenance over your life in the past 88 years. I pray that God will continue to illuminate your path, grant you good health and renewed strength as you continue to render invaluable service to God, humanity and the people of Okpe Kingdom.”
