LONDON/United kingdom: The Ndokwa Association of the United Kingdom (NAUK), London Chapter 2, has announced the commencement of its second phase of skills acquisition programme in Ashaka, Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State, scheduled to hold from April 24 to April 30, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to empower youths and promote grassroots development.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Jacqueline Ishiekwene, who signed on behalf of NAUK London 2, said the programme follows the successful completion of the first phase held in Kwale, Ndokwa West, and is aimed at equipping participants with practical skills for self-reliance.
She explained that the Ashaka training represents the second in a series of three programmes planned for 2026, noting that the initiative is structured to run every four months to ensure continuity and measurable impact. According to her, the final phase of the programme will take place in Ukwuani later in the year.
Ishiekwene disclosed that the project is funded through proceeds from NAUK London 2’s end-of-year fundraising event held in London, United Kingdom, in November 2025, with implementation support provided by Youthgrow Foundation, formerly known as Ignite Youthnovation.
She described the maiden programme in Kwale as highly successful, reaffirming the association’s commitment to delivering on its promise to empower Ndokwa communities through targeted skills development initiatives.
“The programme is part of our broader vision to create sustainable opportunities for our people, particularly young persons, by equipping them with relevant skills that can improve their livelihoods,” she said.
She further urged stakeholders and community members to spread awareness and encourage participation among eligible beneficiaries, stressing that collective support remains key to the success of the initiative.
NAUK London 2 reiterated its resolve to continue leveraging diaspora resources to drive community development and bridge socio-economic gaps across Ndokwa land.
